How to make money on your photography

I walked into the office today and had a great email waiting in my inbox asking about photography.  The email goes on to mention all of these great events, concerts and conferences they will be attending over the next few months, followed up with a great question.  “How do I shop my photography to media outlets?”

As for pitching and promoting your photos, I’ve provided a few resources to check out.  However, first and foremost proof or watermark your photos to protect yourself.  You can also seek out specific media outlets locally and pitch your photojournalist perspective.  Make sure you build up a nice portfolio of these photos as well so you can market them to media outlets. Think local bloggers, magazines, city mags, reviews, circulars to
cultural events.
